We invite you to join "The Grove"—a dedicated circle of supporters who make a three year commitment of $1,000 or more each year. Your investment demonstrates your belief in our mission and ensures we can provide life-changing mental health services to those who need them most.

An Investment in Life-Saving Mental Health Support

CB State of Mind (CBSOM) is a grassroots organization founded by our community to address and reduce the high rate of suicide in the Gunnison Valley. Our work is rooted in the belief that suicide is preventable—and that everyone has a role to play.

Our goal is simple but critical: make immediate access to counseling easy and free for anyone in need.

Through efforts to reduce stigma, increase access to care, and expand education and support, we know we can save lives.

Since launching in April 2020, CBSOM has built a trusted network of 35 local valley therapists, 14 telehealth therapist, and 3 organization contracts (GVH, Axis Health and Telebehavioral Health). To date 5,750 free therapy sessions for 541 individuals have been arranged, and already this year, we’ve provided 730 free sessions—a testament to both the demand and the difference your support can make.

Why We Need Your Help

We understand that, from your perspective, a donation is a cost/benefit decision. A gift to CB State of Mind is more than a donation—it’s an investment in the mental wellness and resilience of our community.

The cost of giving is measurable. Indeed, 98% of our therapy Scholarship recipients report improved mental wellness as a result of our service.

Overall, the benefit—lives changed, crises averted, hope restored—is sometimes harder to quantify, yet undeniably profound. And in this case, the cost of not acting is simply too high.
